Moylan's Brewery & Restaurant - This brew pub is a great meeting spot with bar dining area and dart corner. More importantly their beers are really good! In the way of food, they have a large menu of hearty fare: appetizers like garlic fries, quesadillas, and calamari fritti; a good selection of salads and sandwiches; big gourmet burgers; traditional entrees such as meatloaf, Irish stew, fish and chips; and pizzas from a wood burning oven.

California Grill Rotisserie - casual place that has friendly service, indoor and covered outdoor seating, and great rotisserie chicken and roasted veggies, as well as many other choices; phone: 893-1540.

Tagliaferri's Delicatessen & Cafe - a taste of Italy can be found in Northern Novato! The deli makes up great sandwiches to order with good rolls, deli meats, and fixings. Imported dry goods and hot and cold foods are available to go. This is a great place to stock up for a picnic, 897-9677.

Fresh Choice - although a chain, this giant salad bar restaurant is a refreshing alternative because it's family friendly and you can feel good about loading up on all the fresh salads, soups, light pastas, and baked potato/pizza bar.

Chevy's - Mexican food made mainstream, Chevy's does it up with big portions, big margaritas, and big hats and songs for birthday celebrations. They have a tortilla-making machine that will delight children and adults alike. The fun atmosphere and new menu items keep us coming back.

Pasta Pomodoro - reasonably priced Italian food in a casual setting. For starters their foccacio bread and pesto dipping sauce can become an obsession. At lunch you can order from the express menu--an entree plus a soup or salad.
