Marin County Civic Center - designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and located in a 20-acre park with lagoon, playground, and the Marin Center, a performing arts and convention facility, the Civic Center is open to the public. Volunteer docents lead a free tour by appointment only call (415) 499-7407.

  5. Mission San Rafael Archangel -  a replica of the original 1817 Mission--second to the last in the California mission chain. The chapel is open to the public and there is a gift shop and small museum.

  6. Gerstle Park Inn Bed and Breakfast - a luxurious country inn offering both rooms and cottages as well as many amenities

  7. Rafael Film Center - a renovated theatre that shows art cinema

  8. Falkirk Community Center - this 19th century Victorian country estate hosts changing contemporary art exhibits and special events
