  2. Boston Online - look under "Boston Photos" to see the best collection of themed photos (I loved Lobstermania!), read the hilarious section about "Boston English," and see "Boston for Visitors" for an overview with imbedded links, boston-online.com

  3. boston.com ("your connection to The Boston Globe") - attractions section offers giant list of things to do and see plus traveler reviews and ratings and this list can be sorted by neighborhood or by interest or by ratings!

  4. National Park Service: Boston - "an association of sites that together give the visitor a coherent view of the city's role in the nation's history"; most of these sites are connected by the Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5 mile walking tour, nps.gov/bost/

  5. AOL cityguide: Boston - latest info on restaurants, what the top 5 picks of the week are, events/tickets, CityGuide Features with all kinds of information for visitors, as well as a place to vote for the "City's BEST 2006" in a number of categories, cityguide.aol.com/boston/

  6. Boston Duck Tours - authentic renovated WWII amphibious landing vehicles are used to take you on an 80 minute tour of Boston, by BOTH land and water!

  7. Boston: SmarTraveler - "real-time, route-specific traffic reports", live traffic cameras,  and MBTA transit information, smartraveler.com

  8. MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) - in case you haven't heard, you'll be much safer in Boston on public transportation than trying to drive!
