Atmosphere & Confections
A small shop packed
with goodies and smelling deliciously like chocolate--this is the atmosphere
you find yourself in once you enter under the Chocolate Tree's brown awning
out on busy Carteret Street in downtown Beaufort, SC. There is a long
counter where chocolates of all kinds and in every combination can be
ordered by the pound. The rest of the store is filled with racks and
shelves of such things as decorative trays filled with chocolate
assortments, novelty chocolates like alligators in a big tank or sand
dollars on a plate. We love the pecan turtles, the chocolate dipped
apricots, the English toffee, the hard candy sea shells, the old time
molasses pops, the various flavors of chocolate 'bark', and the chocolate
lollypops. In the back hallway there are candy making molds and supplies.

Service
We visit every year and when it comes time to order
at the counter or check out we are always treated courteously.
This local family has many tourists who visit each season, but they are
also a favorite in their own community.
